I have been making a lot of baby blue cards lately as thank-you cards for our dear little boy to come. So for a change, I was making some wedding cards and birthday cards these couple of days.
Here is a baby card for my friend. I find it hard to make a baby card without knowing the gender of the baby (especially when I don't have a lot of nice yellow paper). Believe it or not, this simple simple baby card took me 2 hours to make (design and assemble). On the right is a birthday card for a little girl. I used my friend's circle cutter to crop out the circle. :) It provides such a nice clean cut which gives my card a more polished look.

CoCoNut Cards Logo
Using my new Martha Stewart's Set Your Own stamp set, I have created a new 'logo' for my cards. :) Here are some of my thoughts about the new stamping set:
Like:
- Great for stamping different messages
- Comes with two circle and two rectangle mounts
Dislike:
- Small font letters come off the mount easily. Not good to create a stamp set for more permanent use.
- Small letters are hard to place (Kit comes with a tweezer, but the tweezer is too big to set small letters)
- Set comes with a circle border, but I can't seem to be able to mount both the border and fonts together.

Baby thank you cards
With our baby expecting to arrive in the next month and a half, we started receiving presents from friends. What's more personal than making my own cards to show our appreciation to these friends. :)
I went to Michaels hoping to use my 50% coupon, but of course, I ended up buying a lot more stuff. :) First I saw these cute baby ribbons and charms. Then I saw these white square blank cards (8 for $1.50!). I seem to like to work with square cards more, especially ones that are not too big. I will go back to Michaels to grab more of these blank square cards. I am going to have fun making more Thank You cards the next couple of weeks.
Thank you cards
I have been pretty motivated with cards making lately. I made several Thank You cards last night. I took out my stamps and embossed powder which I haven't used for a while and was stamping away the different "thank you". This is probably the first time I am pretty happy with how the "thank you" stamps are being incorporated with the cards.
My set of three "thank you" cards.
Home Sweet Home
Two good friends finally settled into their love nest.So I made a house warming card to celebrate their new home. I am sure their home will be filled with love. :) I like the concept of the "Home Sweet Home", but admit I probably used the wrong choice of ribbon in this case. Now that I am adding more ribbons to my cards, I should buy for ribbon supplies for my card making. :)
